Thinking of Ukraine: Wartime Readings from Australia and New Zealand

An online evening of literary readings, of poetry, by Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine living in Australia or New Zealand. The event will take place online on Thursday 4 September at 7.00 – 8.30 p.m. AEST.

Authors wishing to share their poetry or other literary work are encouraged to fill in the online form and to upload the work or works they would like to read. The invitation is extended to established as well as new authors.

Conditions of participation:

  • Works may be in English or Ukrainian.

  • Readings must last no more than 4 minutes.

  • Authors must be temporary or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand.

There are no guidelines as to the themes of the works proposed for reading.

Applications are open until 24 August 2025.
