On 10 May 2025, the Ukrainian Women’s Association Branch in Geelong held the annual Mama’s Market, a special charity event that brought together both the Ukrainian and Australian communities for a meaningful cause.
Visitors to the market enjoyed:
Fresh flowers for Mother’s Day
Traditional Ukrainian dishes including varenyky (dumplings) and borshch
Homemade cakes and pastries
Coffee and refreshments
Handcrafted items
Pre-loved clothing and plants
A silent auction with beautiful prizes
The event successfully raised funds to support women and children affected by the war in Ukraine. All proceeds will go towards humanitarian aid, including essential medical equipment and supplies for those in need.
